Nong Khai Tour
Getting around Nong Khai is every bit as easy as it is in Udon Thani but you need to have a reasonable local knowledge of the local transport. Most visitors do not and indeed I have not visited often enough to learn enough yet. Most visitors make use of the tuk tuks in the town but you need to be aware that the prices charged here are often quite a bit higher. You are better off hiring a car for the day if you are visiting from Udon Thani. If you can not drive, or do not wish to, there are trains from Udon Thani to Nong Khai in the morning, with a return journey available in the evening. There are also lots of buses available from Udon Thani bus station No 2 throughout the day, or a taxi will charge in the region of 600 baht, one way.
