Attractions Near Udon Thani - Phu Hin Lat Cho Fa
Phu Hin Lat Cho Fa is a mountain in the Phu Phan Range. Okay, the term mountain is rather loosely used here and anything that resembles high hill in Udon is classed as a mountain, even at just 100m high. Phu Hin Lat Cho Fa offers scenic views of natural beauty as well as bio–diversity and rare species.
There are large stone terraces and a cave in the mountain that used to be the site of political conflicts and armed confrontation between the Communist Party of Thailand and Royal Thai Government.
If odd shaped stones and stone formations are your thing, then Phu Hin Lat Cho Fa should tick a few boxes, otherwise it is perhaps not a high priority attraction, but if you are in the Nong Bua Lam Phu area, it is worth taking a detour to have a look and say you have been here. The Fossil Museum and Huia Luang Dam are close by too, so you can take in all three in a half day trip.
