Udon Thani Night Market
The Udon Thani night market, as the name suggests, comes to life in the early evening and through in to the night. It is a great place to find countless clothes shops, shoe shops and even shops that sell nothing other than bra's! The Night Market has grown quite considerably in recent years and now spans across both sides of Prajak Sillaphom Road, with lots of food stalls on the eastern side.
For the male shoppers, there are plenty of stalls where there are mobile phones and a load of accessories, leather wallets, DVD's (50 baht each), a decent and reasonably priced fishing tackle shop, and a car accessories store. The DVD seller I have in mind, has two TV screens connected to DVD players, where they are happy to show you a preview of the DVD. This is somewhere I use all the time to get DVD's that have English audio and subtitles, as well as Thai for the wife.
Most of the people that shop here seem to be female students in the 16 to 20 year old bracket, and the shops really do reflect this age group rather well.
There is a 7/11 convenience store here too, as well as several Thai food restaurants to the rear of the original complex on the left (as you face the railway station).
