Udon Thani Attractions - Clock Tower Roundabout
The final roundabout as you head up the Dutsani Road from the Fountain Roundabout, is the Clock Tower Roundabout. The time is displayed in large red digital numbers, but as with the fountain, is not always working.
The roundabout itself is small and is mostly used as a landmark for navigation in the city for most. Displayed above the Clock, are pictures of the King, who is incredibly popular (quite literally adored) with the Thai people. Below the clock has been nicely planted with shrubs and small flower beds. |
You can walk here in about 10 to 15 minutes from the main bar areas of Day and Night and Nutty Park. In December, when the Kings Birthday parade takes place, the Clock Tower Roundabout is a popular place to view it from as the parade heads up from the Fountain Roundabout.
